The sites are catagorised depending on the stage of development which ranges from preliminary site investigations, through to fully commissioned.

The dataset was developed as part of work undertaken in the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage (DHLGH) for use in Ireland's National Marine Planning Framework (NMPF) in 2021
